Suggested itinerary of Switzerland....
THE SWISS ALPS AND LAKE REGION
Day 1: ZURICH
Arrive Zurich and take delivery of your self drive car, or meet
your chauffeur and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon to wander
Zurich and get acquainted with the beauty that is Switzerland.
Day 2: ZURICH-VADUZ
Drive to Schaffhausen with its spectacular Rhine Falls, to
Stein-am-Rhein, Lake Constance, Appenzell and through the alpine
landscape to Schwalgalp. Take a short cable car ride to Santis
for an awe-inspiring view of Eastern Switzerland. Arrive Vaduz,
capital of Liechtenstein.
Day 3: VADUZ-ST.MORITZ
Pass the Roman city of Chur and drive the winding Alpine roads
to Tiefencastel, gateway to the spectacular Julier Pass.
Day 4: ST.MORITZ
Day atleisure, take the funicular to the 8000 foot high Muottas
Muragl for breathtaking views of the Upper Engadine gap.
Day 5: ST.MORITZ-LUGANO
Drive through Maloja Pass to Italy and the shores of Lake Como,
visit Villa Carlotta in nearby Menaggio. Re-enter Switzerland
and drive on to Lugano for overnight.
Day 6: THE LAKE REGION
Full day to enjoy Lugano.
Day 7: LUGANO-LUCERNE
Todays' high mountain road meanders through a series of
spectacular passes: the St.Gotthard, the legendary Schollenen
Pass, the the Grimsel Pass followed by the picturesque Aare
Valley leading to the pretty town of Lucerne. Visit the town,
its quays and old quarters with quaint covered wooden bridges.
Day 8: LUCERNE-ZURICH
Morning drive to Zurich in time to release your car and board
your homebound flight.
