a quick highlight tour of Rome, Florence and Venice taken by
train. It is an independent tour and operates any day.
ITALY BY TRAIN
Day 1 ROME
Arrive at Rome's Leonardo da Vinci airport and transfer by
private car to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2 ROME
Morning city sightseeing tour by regular scheduled tour
including Moses' Fountain, tomb of the unknown Solider,
panoramic view of the Forum and Palatine Hill, colosseum, Circus
Maximus, Basilica of St. Paul outside the walls, Church of St.
Peter in Chains with the statue of Moses by Michelangelo.
Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 3 ROME
This day is a leisure. Optional tours available to the Vatican
Museum and Sistine Chapel, Tivoli-Hadrian's Villa-Villa d'Este,
Naples and Capri, Naples and Pompeii, or to Assisi. (B)
Day 4 ROME/FLORENCE
Make your way to the main rail station for the train to
Florence. On arrival, make your own way to the hotel. Balance of
the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 5 FLORENCE
Morning city sightseeing tour by regular scheduled tour
including the Cathedral, Gioto's Bell tower, Baptistry, the
Academy of fine Arts to admire Michelangelo's original David and
Piazzale Michelangelo. Afternoon at leisure to further explore
the city on your own. (B)
Day 6 FLORENCE/VENICE
Make your way to the rail station for the train to Venice. On
arrival, make your way to the hotel. Balance of the day at
leisure. (B)
Day 7 VENICE
Morning city sightseeing by regular tour incuding a short
historical and artistic introductin of the city of Venice, St.
Mark's Square, visit the golden Basilica, Doge's Palace, cross
the Bridge of Sighs and a visit to a glass factory. (B)
Day 8 VENICE
Transfer by private motor launch to the airport in time for your
departure flight. (B)
