Here we offer the opportunity to see
Russia by train. In addition to general touring in Moscow we
feature the Trans-Siberian rail. The "Rossia" train runs across
the vast territory of forests, mountains, hills, valleys,
rivers; one landscape changes the other. In some areas there is
hardly a living soul within a hundred kilometers. Russia is
amazingly huge and diverse.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Moscow, meet and transfer to your
hotel. City tour of Moscow including the Kremlin and Vorobjev's
Hills.
Day 2: Tour the Cathedral of the Christ, the
Savior, Tretjakov Art Gallery and the Moscow metro. Later depart
by train to Ekaterinburg.
Day 3: On the train
Day 4: Arrival in Ekaterinburg. City tour, here,
the last days of the Romanov's Dynasty.
Day 5: On the train
Day 6: Arrival in Irkutsk. Tour the city, museum
and an excursion to Lake Baikal. Depart this night by
train to Ulan-Ude.
Day 7: Morning arrival in Ulan-Ude. City tour
and trip to Datsan.
Day 8: Departure by morning train to
Vladivostok.
Days 9/10: On the train.
Day 11: Morning arrival in Vladivostok. City
tour and boat exursion on the bay "Golden Horn".
As an extension of the Trans-Siberian tour from
Irkutsk there are 3 more destinations: Mongolia, China and
Japan. Mongolia is the country with ever changing landscapes:
now a range of mountains, lakes, rivers and streams; then
deserts and steppes. Horseriding, hiking bring you closer to the
nomads whose hospitality and friendship welcome you all over the
country.
MONGOLIA Extension
From the above train itinerary, overnight on Day 6 in Irkutsk
then,
Day 7: In Irkutsk. Departure by night train to
Mongolia.
Day 8: On the train.
Day 9: Arrival in Ulan-Bator. Sightseeing of
Gandan Monastery and Bogd Ihan Museum.
Day 10: Day trip to the National Park of Terelj.
Day 11: Depart by morning train to Beijing or
stay longer in Ulan-Bator.
