The Jacana Safari...Northern Botswana
13 days/12 nights

This high quality safari offers a combination of cross country drives and light aircraft transfers to enable guests access to some of the best areas of Northern Botswana. Accommodation consists of a pre-erected tented camp in the Chobe River area, and small permanent tented camps in the Okavango Delta and Linyanti.

A unique feature of this safari is that many nights are spent in private concessions far from others in superb game country, where night drives and off road driving are permitted.

All meals are included except for lunches and dinners in Victoria Falls. Local drinks are included in Botswana. Guests are limited to eight and a guide that accompanies the safari.

 Days 1 to 3: The Central Okavango Delta - Kaparota Camp.
After arrival in Maun, you are met by your guide and transferred by light aircraft to the northern sector of the Okavango Delta. There is excellent game viewing. All the cats, Buffalo, Elephant, Hyena, and good general game including large herds of Zebra and Wildebeest all contribute to a memorable Okavango Delta experience.

Days 4 to 6: Okavango Delta - Jacana Camp. 
The group is flown into Jacana Camp for the next three nights. Jacana is a true water camp, offering mekoros and walking all year round.

Days 7 and 8: The Linyanti - Linyanti Tented Camp.
Transfer by light aircraft to Linyanti Tented Camp. This is a small, intimate tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti marshes in a private reserve, which borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park.

Days 9 to 11: Chobe National Park
Depart early for the drive north to Chobe, where the camp has been set up in a private site on or near the banks of the Chobe River. On the Chobe floodplains, one can sometimes view Elephants in numbers not found else where on the continent, while water birds such as egrets, herons, ducks and storks occur in profusion.

Day 12: Victoria Falls
It is a leisurely drive from the Chobe River to Victoria Falls. Arrival at Ilala Lodge will be around midday. Balance of the day at leisure to explore the rain forests alongside the Falls, or take an optional sunset cruise up the Zambezi River.

Day 13: End of Safari
Transfer to the Victoria Falls airport for your onward flight.

The Jacana Safar is also run from Victoria Falls to Maun.
