THE BEST OF GUATEMALA....
An 11 day/10 night land tour of Guatemala.

Day 1 (Wednesday)
Guatemala City
Arrival to Guatemala City. Transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day off. Lodging.

 

Day 2 (Thursday)
Guatemala City
Breakfast. Leaving the hotel at 9:00am. They will be taken to the museum of nation Archaeology and Ethnology where they will be able to admire imitation of Mayan Stalaes, as a Pre-Hispanic artifacts and the secret that surround the Mayan Hieroglyphics.  Later they will be taken to the Popol-Vuh Museum, and the Ixchel Museum, Where you will appreciate the difference The Guatemalan Typical Customs.  Then you will visit the National Palace, The Metropolitan Cathedral, The Stamped Map of Guatemala, and the Civic Center. After the tour they will be taken back to their hotel.

 

Day 3 (Friday)
Guatemala City / Flores (Ceibal)
Early morning  (5:00am) Transfer to the airport to your short flight to Flores in the region of El Petén (Include Ticket airline). Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to Sayaxché. Here you will take a boat to cross La Pasion River to get to the archaeological site of Ceibal. You will take a path from the shore river to the archaeological site.  (Lunch Included) (Drinks not included). After the tour you will be transferred by boat to Sayaxché to Flores and to your hotel to overnight.

 

Day 4 (Saturday)
Flores (Tikal) / Guatemala City
Transfer to the Airport to take the flight with destiny to Santa Elena Peten, (Air Ticket include) There they will be taken to the National Park of Tikal, Lunch Included. (No drinks included)  visit to the museum.  Transfer to the Airport to take your flight back to Guatemala City. Meeting and assistance at your arrival at the Airport and transfer to your hotel. Lodging.

 

Day 5 (Sunday)
Guatemala/ Chichicastenango/ Panajachel
Breakfast, To day is the Market Day, a day full of color and activity, It has been a tradition for more that 400 hundred years, in which the native people, craftsmen and farmers arrive, traveling many miles to sell their products in Guatemala’s Largest open Air Market. There are also religious ceremonies in Santo Tomas Church during the market. Then, transfer to Panajachel Afternoon off.  Lodging.

 

Day 6 (Monday)
Panajachel / Santiago Atitlán / Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast. They will be taken a boat to cross the Atitlán Lake to visit the Town of Santiago Atitlán, home of the Tuztuhil Indigenous; this town is famous for its handicraft. In the afternoon, transfer to Guatemala City. Lodging.

 

Day 7 (Tuesday)
Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast. Transfer to Antigua Guatemala.  Visiting the City: The Main Plaza San Carlos University. The Jade Factory. Churches. Convent. Museums. By the Afternoon they will visit the town of San Antonio Aguas Calientes and San Felipe de Jesús, and the first Cathedral in Guatemala in Cudad Vieja. Transfer to the hotel. Lodging.

 

Day 8 (Wednesday)
Guatemala City/ Copán/ Río Hondo
Breakfast. Transfer to the archeological site of Copán in Honduras frontier to our neighbor country Honduras where the corresponding immigration arrangements will be made to be able to visit the Copán Ruins.  After that they will take the tour where they will admire one of the Post-Classic latter time of 1250 steps tall, all engraved with Mayan Hieroglyphics.   In the afternoon they will be back to Hotel for Lodging.

 

Day 9 (Thursday)
Río Hondo/ Quirigua/ Río Dulce.
Breakfast Departure from the hotel to the north of the country to visit the archaeological site of Quirigua, where the largest and tallest Mayan Stalaes are registered at the moment. Then transfer to Río Dulce Rest of the day off.  Lodging

 

Day 10 (Friday)
Río Dulce/ San Felipe/Livingston/ Guatemala City.
Breakfast Tour by the Río Dulce, where you will visit the biotopo of Manatí; this wildlife reserve located on the northern shores of El Golfete is a protected area.  Also they will visit the Island of the Birth, Livingston. In the afternoon visit to the Castle of San Felipe of Lara, The Castle, which is a historic monument, this was a fortress built to defend the population against the attacks of British pirates that invaded the Atlantic Coast of Guatemala, during the 17th, and 18th, centuries.  It is one of the more interesting sights of the region. Transfer to the Guatemala City. Lodging.

 

Day 11 (Saturday)
Guatemala City
Breakfast. Time off until time to transfer them to the La Aurora International Airport. End of our Services.
