Thailand is located at the meeting point of two great
cultural systems of Asia - Chinese and Indian. Thailand offer

Here is a tour of North Thailand with weekly departures that
you can add to a visit of Bangkok.
Day 1 Tu. Bangkok/Bang Pa In/Ayutthaya/Lopburi/Phitsanuloke.
This morning visit Bang Pa In before proceeding to the ancient
capital city of Siam-Ayutthaya. Drive through the scenic
countryside to Lopburi. See the magnificent stone carvings of
Phra Prang Sam Yod, then stop at the Kala shrine of Sarn Prakarn.
Continue further north to the town of Phitsanuloke for
overnight. (LD)
Day 2 We. Phitsanuloke/Sukhothai/Sri Satchanalai/Chiang Rai
Visit the Sukhothai and admire the statues as you explore the
many ruined temples and monasteries. Visit Sri Satchanalai
before stopping at the small town of Phayao and continue on to
Chiang Rai in the late afternoon. (BLD)
Day 3 Th. Mae Salng/Mae Sai/Golden Triangle/Chiang Saen
This morning visit the famous hill tribes found in north
Thailand. Visit the renowned Golden Triangle where the Ruak and
Mekong Rivers meet. Optional boat trip available. (BLD)
Day 4 Fr. Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai
Enroute to Chiang Mai stop at Mae Ka Chan, famous for a hot
spring. Drive through splendid mountain scenery and tropical
jungle to the Rose of the North - Chiang Mai. In the evening,
enjoy a ceremonial northern Thai dinner and traditional dances.

Day 5 Sa. Chiang Mai.
Visit one of the elephant camps before heading to the district
of Sankampaeng, home to Chiang Mai's famous cottage industries,
(silk fabrics, hand-painted umbrellas, celadon, ornaments and
teak furniture as well as lacquerware and silver. (BLD)
Day 6 Su. Chiang Mai
The tour ends after breakfast. You may choose to add on days,
return to Bangkok or on to another country. (B)
