DAY 3 - DELHI /

Travel to Jaipur by car /
coach in the morning. It is a four and half hour drive.
Afternoon city tour of 'Pink City' visiting the City Palace,
Palace of Winds, local colorful bazaars and Jantar Mantar
Observatory. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 4 - JAIPUR /
AGRA ( 260 Kms Approx 5.00 Hrs Drive by Surface) (B )
Visit Amber Fort with
elephant ride. Transfer to Agra en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.

tour visiting Durbar Marg, Temple of Living Goddess ,

DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI (B)
Arrive tonight in Delhi,
India's bustling capital city. You are greeted with a
traditional Indian welcome and escorted to your Hotel.
DAY 2: NEW & OLD DELHI SIGHTSEEING (B/D)
After a morning at leisure,
your tour of two cities includes a drive along Rajpath,
where you'll see sights such as Parliament, the
President's House, Qutab Minar and India Gate. Visit
colorful Birla Mandir temple; spectacular Red Fort - with
its Pearl Mosque and exquisite audience halls; the Mahatma
Gandhi memorial; Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni
Chowk bazaar. Enjoy a special welcome dinner . Overnight
at Hotel.
DAY 3: DELHI / RANTHAMBHORE (B/L/D)
An exciting journey through
the countryside by train takes you to Ranthambhore, nearly
a thousand-year-old fortress. Countless battles have raged
around these walls. The great Mughal emperor Akbar laid
siege here and built Lake Palace, summer gardens, temples,
mosques, tombs and hunting towers, all overrun now by
grass and shrubs. Today leopards and tigers prowl the
ruins. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 4: RANTHAMBHORE GAME RESERVE (B/L/D )
Ranthambhore is one of the
few preserves where the camera-shy tigers may be seen in
daylight. You'll take thrilling jeep rides in the morning
and evening in search of wildlife. You sometimes chance
upon these fleet-footed and silent creatures, the
embodiment of grace. In the afternoon, explore the lakes
on your own and visit the imposing Ranthambhore Fort.

DAY 5: RANTHAMBHORE / JAIPUR (B)
After a morning game drive
you leave for the "pink city" of Jaipur, where the old
city is surrounded by a massive wall pierced by
magnificent doorways. Your tour of Jaipur takes you to
Hawa Mahal or "Palace of Winds". Continue to City Palace,
characterized by balconies, tiny windows, cupolas,
courtyards and arched entrances. It now houses an
excellent collection of Rajasthani costumes, miniatures,
and an armory of weapons. The Maharajah's observatory
looks like a collection of abstract sculptures, but is in
fact a collection of effective instruments for studying
the heavens. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 6: AMBER FORT / KEOLADEO BIRD SANCTUARY, BHARATPUR
(B/L/D)
Ride by elephant high up to
Amber, a spectacular fortress-palace, protecting a complex
of palaces, temples, exquisite marble and mirror-inlaid
halls and apartments. Continue to the Keoladeo Bird
Sanctuary in Bharatpur, home to over 350 species of birds.
Walk along the beautiful trails in the sanctuary lined
with Babul trees. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 7: BHARATPUR / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA (B/L)
Rise early to see Bharatpur
at its most glorious. Enjoy either a pedicab or boat ride
(water levels permitting), with the opportunity to see
flocks of ducks, widgeon, heron and spoonbill in graceful
flight. After lunch at the lodge, drive to the ancient
city of Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece of Muslim
architecture. The Buland Darwaza or "Sublime Gate,"
flanked by colossal statues of elephants, served as the
principal entrance. Continue to Agra, the last capital of
the Mughal empire in India. Agra is the home of the Taj
Mahal, a perfect structure whose delicate beauty is beyond

DAY 8: AGRA / BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK (B/D)
View the Taj by sunrise.
Built in 1632 by Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite
wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal, it took 21 years for 20,000 men
to complete the Taj Mahal. Also visit the 16th-Century
Agra Fort, where Shah Jahan spent his final days
imprisoned by his son. Take an overnight train to
Bandhavgarh National Park in the hills of the Vindhyan

9 -11: - BANDHAVGARH GAME VIEWING (B/L/D)
Arrive in Bandhavgarh this
morning, home of white tiger and other species such as
Indian bison, sambar, barking deer & blue bull.
Bandhavgarh's large tiger population offers the best
chance to see this elusive cat. Spend two days of game
viewing and bird watching in these valleys. On the highest
hill stands the 14th-Century Bandhavgarh Fort, surrounded
by numerous caves containing shrines and ancient Sanskrit

the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary with the largest concentration
and variety of birdlife in all of Asia. Evening at

DAYS 12-13: KANHA NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
After a morning game drive in
Bandhavgarh, travel to Kanha, the original country Rudyard
Kipling so vividly described in his Jungle Books. Kanha
has some 22 species of mammals: most commonly spotted are
langur, jackal, wild pig, spotted deer, swamp deer, sambar
and black buck. You may also see tiger, Indian hare, wild
dog, barking deer, Indian fox, sloth bear, striped hyena,
panther, mouse deer, Indian bison, jungle cat, four horned
antelope, blue bull, ratel and Indian porcupine. Kanha
also has some 200 species of birds. Spend two days game
viewing and bird watching in Kanha, a true haven for the
animal and avian population. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 14: KANHA / MUMBAI (BOMBAY)
Depart for Nagpur this
morning, where you catch your flight to Mumbai (formerly
Bombay). You will be provided a day room at the Hotel
Holiday Inn . After a day at leisure, depart India late
this evening.
