KATHMANDU/POKHARA/TEMPLE TIGER / KATHMANDU

Sightseeing tour of the KATHMANDU CITY that includes the Durbar Square, the Temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal Palace. You will also visit Kasthamandap -- a temple built from a single tree from

 

DAY 01 : Arrive Kathmandu. On arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Temple Tiger  representative will meet and welcome with garland. Later, you will be  transferred to Hotel.
Welcome drink will be served at Hotel.    
Overnight at  Hotel ( Breakfast provided).

 

DAY 02 : 09

Which the city of Kathmandu derives its name. After The Kathmandu city we visit the SWYAMBHUNATH -- the oldest Buddhist shrine, said to be 2000 years old stupa situate on a hillock, which offers a breath taking view of the city. Looking east from here one can see the entire Kathmandu Valley spread out below. 

1430 HRS.  : Sightseeing tour of the PASHUPATINATH TEMPLE -- the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, built in 1696.

Pashupatinath draws thousands of pilgrims every year and devotees from Nepal and India. We carry on the sightseeing tour of the BOUDHANATH -- the worlds largest stupa. It is a sight of great reneration to the Buddhists.
Overnight at  Hotel ( Breakfast provided).

 

DAY 03 : 0930 HRS.  : Sightseeing tour of the PATAN CITY -- the city of architecture and fine arts founded in 250 AD, previously known as Lalitpur. Sometimes It is also known as the "Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs." Here one visits the Durbar Square, the Royal Baths, Mahaboudha, Krishna Mandir and Hirayana Mahabihar Temple (The Golden Temple). We also visit Tibetan Handicraft Centre at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving. 

ECONOMIC PACKAGES1430 HRS.  : Sightseeing tour of the BHAKTAPUR CITY - Kathmandu Valley's most medieval city that is also known as Bhadgaon. It is situated about 10 miles east of Kathmandu and was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Here one visits the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and the  Palace of 55 Windows. Here are ancient temples and palaces that show off the Newari craftsmanship of carved wooden windows and latticework.
Overnight at Hotel ( Breakfast provided).

 

DAY 04 : Breakfast at Hotel. Later transfer to Kantipath to catch Tourist Bus to Pokhara ( 5 & 1/2 Hrs.).
0n arrival in Pokhara, transfer to Hotel.
1500 HRS. : 1 hour’s scenic boat ride in Fewa Lake.
Overnight at Hotel Meera.

 

DAY 05 : Early morning wake up call to witness the sunrise over the Annapurna Range and the Fishtail Mountain.
0930 HRS : Sightseeing tour of
POKHARA - one of the most picturesque valley in Nepal. Pokhara lies 125 miles west of Kathmandu, under the shadows of the Annapurna Range. A rare combination of snow-clad mountains, crystal clear lakes, streams, villages inhabited by friendly ethnic tribes.PM : At leisure.
Overnight at Hotel Meera.

 

DAY 06 : Once again early morning wake up call to witness the sunrise over the Annapurna Range and the Fishtail Mountain.
Later , Drive Pokhara /  Narayanghat in a tourist bus. Meet our representative at Regal Rest House at Pulchowk and drive to Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge.

The drive will finally bring you at
Amaltarighat ( bank of Narayani River). Upon arrival you will be met by our naturalists and cross the River by river boats.
After crossing the Narayani River , you will be given hot towels to refresh themselves and welcome Tika and Drinks will be provided at the river bank. You will then be transferred to the Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge by , elephants / landrovers.

TEMPLE TIGER is situated in the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park, which is the home of the great one horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, gaur (bison), 4 species of deer, 2 species of monkeys, 2 species of crocodiles, leopard, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, over 450 species of birds and various other reptiles.
At the Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge, the Manager will brief you about the activities at the lodge and assign the rooms.
In the late afternoon, you will be taken for a jungle safari on elephant back so that you can penetrate deep into the jungle for viewing and photographing wildlife or a jungle walk is organised for you to experience the abundant birdlife and the flora and fauna of the Park. If you are lucky, you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger both on nature walk as well as on elephant safari.
Our well stocked bar will cater to the needs of the thirsty. A hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served in the evening around the campfire.

DAY 07 : Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant back and taken for a jungle safari for 2-3 hours penetrating through dense grasslands to view wildlife in their natural habitat. This grass commonly known as elephant grass is dense and grows to a height of 18-20 ft. It is the favourite habitat for rhinoceros and other mammals.
After breakfast, you are taken to our elephant stables where a senior naturalist briefs about the interesting and unbelievable habits of elephant. Here one may witness the rare scene of the elephants at bath.
Lunch at the camp.
In the afternoon you may choose to relax around the camp or take a drive through the jungles in Land Rovers followed by a boat ride down the Narayani River. The river ride provides opportunity of viewing the gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds. You may also feel like going for a nature walk or birding with one of our naturalists to know more about the flora of the Royal Chitwan National Park. Those on canoe ride are taken back to the resort by Land Rovers from the end-point.

DAY 08 : Those interested may take early morning elephant safari for 2 - 3 hours. After breakfast, you will be transferred by elephants, landrover and canoes to waiting vehicles to transfer to Kathmandu ( 5 & 1/2 hours approx.). On the way back to Kathmandu, you will take a side trip to Manokamana by cable car ( 10 min. oneway). You will visit Manokamana Temple which is one of the most famous temples in Nepal. Manokamana offers you breath-taking views of surrounding hills and mountains. Lunch at River Side Spring Resort.  Return journey to Kathmandu. Upon arrival meet, assist and transfer to hotel . Overnight at  Hotel ( Breakfast provided).

 

DAY 09 : Breakfast at Hotel. Today you  will be transferred to the International Airport to connect onward flight back to your home.
